This week we recognize Anthony Whittaker, our video intern. Anthony, aka Whitt, is the newest addition to the video team. His beaming smile, positive attitude and creative eye make him a tremendous asset to the CRIMSON staff. Although he prefers to be in the edit room he has a lot of experience working with the camera as well. Read what Whitt has to say about CRIMSON below!
What do you love about CRIMSON?
My favorite thing about CRIMSON is the community and family environment of the company. I enjoy the opportunities that I get to be around individuals that are passionate about their clients, and work to tell their stories in a captivating and unique way.
Explain your role as a part of the CRIMSON family.
My role is to assist the video team with our day-to-day projects. This primarily includes running audio and lighting equipment on various video shoots, and supporting the needs of our clients when we are on location. I also get a chance to edit various projects, which is really awesome because I have the opportunity to learn more about our clientele, and what they do to serve their customers.
What’s the most challenging part of your job? Most rewarding?
The most challenging part of my job is making sure that I am up to date on the various projects that I am a part of. I stay organized by writing certain details down, so that I can be an efficient contributor to my team. The most rewarding aspect of my job is the breadth of experience that I am gaining every time I step into the office. No day is ever the same, and I am grateful to be a part of a company that pushes the boundaries of creativity for their clients.
How do you spend your time outside the office?
I LOVE kids. I often spend time volunteering at my church with the youth ministry to keep myself feeling young. You will probably find me singing silly songs, running around playing tag, or mentoring a group of children and learning what they’re passionate about. I also take great pride in being able to pop a perfect bag of popcorn, and catching up on some of my favorite Netflix series.
What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
My family is everything to me. I spend most of my time with my older brother who has Down Syndrome. The love that he emits to me and the rest of the world is incomparable, and I am always trying to learn how to be more like him in that way. We enjoy going to movies, sporting events and participating in the occasional wrestling match in our family room.
